Hello Family, Friends and Community
On December 20th our family had a major fire in our home. The devastation is clear from the picture. Everyone is safe and our spirits have been lifted by the generosity from our community.
It will be a long road to clear and rebuild our home, but we are optimistic that we will make the most out of this catastrophe.
So far, we have received lots of clothing for the children and ourselves, and children's Christmas presents. Thank you.
We know that a lot of our friends and family want to support us through our rebuilding stage, and we wanted to provide an avenue to do so.
The proceeds from this fund-raiser will go directly to helping us rebuild our home. If there are extra funds left over after insurance, we will donate the funds directly to a newly-arriving refugee family from Syria.
We are so grateful to everyone's kindness and caring. This has made us hold everyone even closer.
