Dear Family, Friends, and Friends of Friends
As many of you already know, and for those who do not, my younger brother Peter Dychkovski, who is 19 years old, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in November 2013. On December 31, 2013, he had his first surgery which revealed the tumor to be Astrocytoma Grade 3. Following the sugery, he had undergone radiation therapy and MRI scanning every six months.
Peter’s resilience prevaled in the first two years after his surgery. He is an active young man with a passion for soccer and for his community. Peter is greatly involved in his Chruch serving as a ministrant for 6 years. He attended college in our home city of Chortkiv. He has dreams of learning English and applying to an English University.
However, this was all cut short when another tumor was found during his last MRI on March 16th. Ever since then, his health has been rapidly deteriorating and is urgetly in need of another surgery to take place on May 25, 2015 at St. Augustine Hopsital in Antwerpen, Belgium. It is to be followed by both radiation and chemotherapy along with frequent MRI scans.
