Keep Them Warm - Holiday Initiative

Hey everybody!
We are a group of students from various backgrounds, cultures and religions that have decided to come together to help the homeless in Ottawa just in time for Christmas.
Bring home the greatest gift of all this holiday season, kindness to humanity. Keep Them Warm is a Holiday Initiative that we've started in order to help the homeless this year. Knowing the harsh Canadian winters, we've teamed up to try to keep the less fortunate in Ottawa warm and cozy during our upcoming season. With your donations we hope to cover enough costs to help 100-150 homeless members of our community. Gift bags that will be given out this Christmas season will be filled with items such as winter tuques, mittens, scarves, feminine hygiene products and basic first aid kits. We are also in the process of teaming up with homeless shelters (such as Shepards of Good Hope) to donate items and baked goods to.
Our goal is to reach $1, 000 to be able to purchase the items necessary. If each person donated $10, we would reach our goal fairly quickly. But any donation at all is helpful!

This holiday I wanted to show everyone that helping the less fortunate is not affiliated with any faith or race. It is about being human. While we cozy up next to a fire place, or get warm in our onesies, the fact of the matter is that not many people are able to do the same. Our team wants to change their holiday. We want to be that change. Help us put a jacket on their back and a smile on their face"
