heart surgery for baby kevin

Kevin was born august 29th. When his mother julie waspregnant, her son was diagnosed with congential heart defect. They were told he would only be born with 1/2 of a heart and need atleast 3 open heart surgeries. With the medical team at duke, they decided to give kevin a fighting chance. He had his first open heart surgery when he was just three days old, the doctors put a shunt on his heart to his lungs so hehe could oxygenate his blood. A few days later the doctors removed the tube, this made his oxygen levels drop and he died for approximentaly 20 minutes. The doctors were able to bring him back. They then put the breathing tube back. When they felt he was ready to have the tube removed the second time, he did much better. But sunday he went into cardiac arrest and spent about 45 minutes in gods arms. His surgeon was called in, they did a second surgery and put him on an ECMO life support. Today, baby kevin comes off of the life support. We can only pray that he does well. After all of this he will need two more surgeries, putting his parents in over 1 million dollars. Anything helps!
