Help Fund Lisabeth

Many of you are familiar of the story of the Mackall Family. In 2012, many of us followed along as Lisabeth Mackall chronicled the ongoing recovery of her husband, Officer Frank Mackall, after his car crash. The Mackall family opened their story to all of us so that others could understand how a trauma can impact so many people, and truly, it allowed an unprecedented look at the inside workings of the thin blue line after a law enforcement critical event.
The Mackall family continues to educate both in the areas law enforcement and brain injury, training others in the recovery process and preparing families for trauma related incidents. With this education process, they have impacted many officers, families and others with their journey.
In January of this year, Lisabeth was confronted with a new journey – Stage 3 metastatic breast cancer. This additional impact to their family has been an added burden to the family, now living with coping with Frank’s brain injury along with an additional scary medical diagnosis and treatment.
Lisabeth is currently in the middle part of a 5 month chemo treatment program, with additional surgeries and treatment planned for the fall. Although working is still an option, there will come a time when she will have to step away from work and focus on her own health, and the ongoing health and management of their complicated life.

Some of you may know that Frank worked at the Police Department as an intern for me in research and development. He was introduced to me by Tony Spencer. Frank and Lisa are fighters and I know that they will fight this with everything that they have.

Could you please help the family by giving a donation? It seems like cancer is devastating our law-enforcement family lately. Anything you can give would be appreciated. Thank you. Amy. Also could you please share this? Many thanks from the family.
