Hello all! My name is Trent Hancock and I am a Young Life Leader at Richland Northeast High School in Columbia, South Carolina.

Young Life is a high school-based ministry  where volunteer leaders reach out to local schools in order to build meaningful relationships with the students through attending sporting events and lunches, and leading events and bible studies. During the summer, these students have the opportunity to go to Young Life summer camps and have the best week of their lives with many of their close friends and with hundreds of other high schoolers across the country. This summer, our high school students, along with other Young Life groups across Northeast Columbia are going to Windy Gap, a Young Life camp located in Asheville, North Carolina.




For some, however, the price for camp can be one of the only reasons these kids are unable to go. Because of this, I am attempting to fundraise money to make it easier for my friends to afford camp, or to even fully pay their camp fees.

On May 31, I will be running from Blythewood High School (my alma mater where I was a Young Life student ) all the way to the statehouse steps in downtown Columbia. This will be a twenty mile run. The significance of the twenty miles is that I will be making this run on the 20th birthday!




Any donation towards this run could be the difference in allowing my friends at Richland Northeast to go to Windy Gap this summer, a life changing week that they would never forget. Thank you so much for considering supporting this great cause. Every bit is greatly appreciated!
