Johanna's Medical Fund from Auto Ac
Johanna was in a very seriouse auto accident on May 15th, 2016. She was traveling to a funeral of a dear friend's mother at the time of the accident. She is in very serious but not life threating condition in a San Antonio hospital and will be for some time.
She had a collapsed lung, a torn artery in her left arm, both ankles shattered and part of one foot torn off. She was in the operating room for over eight hours on Sunday and will be going in again today or tomorrow.
She will be confined to a wheelchair for quite some time as she heals and tries to use her ankles and feet again.
She will be in the hospital for at least two weeks and than will require many more stays as she receives more operations and therapy.
Shawn, Johanna and Ash will need all your prayers and help they can get. The medical costs, loss of work, and simple everyday things will need to have assistance not only with money, but also with temporal, spiritual, physical and mental support.
The funds raised will go towards the medical bills first and than towards the needs of this family.
Anything you can do with your prayers, temporal assistance and friendship will be so helpful.
Thank You All in advance for all you can do.
Your always there for someone.
This is so sad I love her!!! She was my manager at buffalo for a while and we got so close.... I will definitely help with something as soon as I can!! Please let her know her and her family are definitely in my prayers! I will share this to let everyone know
Thank you so much everyone for all the help and well-wishes so far. We even had on overnight package arrive at the hospital with money in it to help me while I am here with no name attached. Everyone has been so kind and supportive. She is going in for her third surgery right now but is still unconscious. Please continue to keep her in your prayers and please help continue to spread the word. This is going to be a long, long battle for her to even walk again after she finally wakes up.
Thanks to everyone who has helped us so far. Johanna is still in San Antonio and is in a skilled nursing center there. She still can't walk and has no feeling or use of her left arm, but she is making big progress. In September, our insurance will discontinue coverage for the nursing center but we are hoping she is ready for a rehab facility back home by that time. The financial help and prayers both help so much and I can see a clear difference in her since the accident. I was looking at two photos - one of her smiling in May and one of her smiling last weekend and the difference in her personality was drastic. Thank you all so much. We have a long, long way to go before she can walk again, but you are all responsible for helping bring a smile to her face as she fights through this - Shawn
