Exit Services and recovery space

After attending The Worlds Oldest Oppression conference in Melbourne and listening to many survivors of prostitution, I decided to try and open a not-for-profit exit services program. I'm calling it RETRO: Real Empowerment Through Real Options. This will be survivor led with help from non-survivors.
This town came up for sale. 16 Queenslanders of 3-4 bedrooms each.
RETRO is now raising funds to buy the whole town.
Looks like a perfect place for survivors to retreat to, enjoy some arts and crafts, do some gardening, meet others and make plans for the future.
Every dollar will go toward setting this up as a safe space for those who need and want to exit prostitution. The property would be bought in the name: RETRO and we will appoint a Board of Trustees. In the event we lose this property or don't raise the funds, the money will be owned by RETRO and go towards a drop in centre located in an Au cbd centre.
Retro has happened really fast. We are currently in week 2 with 100% volunteers giving time and dedication to make this happen. We are looking into every possible aspect of funding to provide as many exit services as possible. This retreat would be so survivors have some time away from pressures to heal and recover. It would be one part of what we offer, not the whole. We understand the need for cbd drop-in centres to help those in crisis and are doing our best to find ways to make this happen too.
