Our dear friend and colleague, Carol Ely, passed away May 12, 2016 in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 59.

Carol was an outspoken advocate for justice and disability rights. She was admired for her ability to "tell it like it is."

At her core she was a human rights activist and a person with many, many valued social roles in her community. She exemplified what it means to have a full and rich life in the community.

She was a leader, author, mentor, teacher, and unwavering friend.

Her joy, intelligence, humor, and candor will be deeply missed.

Funerals cost between $7,000 and $10,000. Our friend had limited financial resources so please consider donating generously for Carol's funeral expenses.
