Scott's fund for Amber

Scott reached out to me and asked if I could help him set up a gofundme account for Amber. The following are his words that he wished to express:

On January 14, 2015, I was rushed to the hospital, bent over, all day, in pain. They quickly admitted me and started me on NPO *No food/drink* while they had me on IV Antibiotics that would kill the Diverticulitis and Pancreatitis that they, initially, thought that I had. After a full week of being NPO, they noticed that neither the lab levels nor symptoms had changed. They told me that they were going to do a Colonoscopy @ 11am the next day. (Mind you – It was 11pm the night before when they told me this….Needless to say I was, obviously, up all night.) The next morning they gave me the colonoscopy – However, what they actually did was infiltrate the vein that they used to insert the ‘Twilight’ – Fentinel & Versaid. This means I did not get all of the necessary medicine to be ‘knocked out’ enough – Yet they wouldn’t listen and I was able to watch my colonoscopy on the monitor. That’s when I saw them – That’s when I knew – I had tumors. They stopped the Colonoscopy immediately. The next day I had my Sigmoid Colon removed. They told me, after surgery, that it was Stage 3b (more than 5 lymphnodes + breaking through the bowel wall.) . Once I recovered from surgery I had the CT & PET Scans to determine if we had gotten it all, unfortunately we found more on my Liver automatically upgrading my cancer to Stage 4. I went onto an extreme Chemo Therapy regiment and remained on it.,. They did a Microwave Ablation to burn the tumor off my liver and I continued Chemo until my body actually became allergic to it. After doing yet another PET Scan, they found that now the tumors were back near my colon, appeared to be growing despite the chemo, and were in a couple of different areas. I was setup for a surgery to remove 2 additional Colon Tumors. During the second surgery they looked inside with a scope and, unfortunately, found 14 additional small Tumors spread across my Peritoneal lining. This is called Peritoneal Carsinomatosis. At this time, they simply sewed me back up instead of proceeding with the tumor removal surgery. And with that, in November 2015, I was pronounced Terminal with approximately 10 to 18 Months to live.

This GoFundMe is not for myself. This is to try and help do my part for the house that Amber and I purchased together as well as everything else we own and take care of. I would like to build a Fund that Amber can pull from as needed for the first so many years on a monthly basis to help cover costs that I am no longer able to cover. Due to the amazing generosity of my Friend and my Boss, Mr. Randy Weitz, of Horizon Associates Groups, I have not needed to do this as of yet. But money can only go so far when there is nothing being returned for it (Work/repay). Randy has literally given me more than anyone I could imagine since I have started going through this, however,as of the end of May, he’ll have to stop the paying me or at least reduce my pay by half – Still discussing. But, once I am gone, these payments will stop completely and Amber will be somewhere around $2000 in the red each month with mortgage, car payments, medical bills, and various other debts. I am hopeful, with my multitude of amazing Friends & Family, that we can get maybe 10k – 20k into an account for Amber. Again, this will be used to cover monthly expenses throughout the upcoming year or so after I pass away.

All I can truly say is Please & Thank you. I just want my family taken care of until they are back on their feet.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
