Please help Joey!

This is Joey.  He belongs to my friend, Kelley Horne.  He was a very healthy older, happy, 5 lb. chihuahua, until he was brutally attacked by a heartless human being on Sunday.  Kelley has had a roommate for the last 3 or 4 months and despite checking his background, he turned out not to be who he said he was. 

Sunday, Kelley came home from work to find that her roommate was crushing and smothering Joey with his body weight of 250+ lbs.  Joey was laying on his back with blood coming from his nose, mouth and ears.  Kelly got him away from him, along with her other chihuahua, Abbey (who is blind and was left unharmed).  She immediately called the police and they arrested him for felony animal abuse.  He is still in custody under the highest allowed bond for this crime.  Joey was rushed to the emergency veterinarian clinic by a friend.  He suffered internal bruising to his liver, lungs, and brain, but has been given a good prognosis.  However, the veterinarian bill has already exceeded 1200.00 and will continue to rise as he receives treatment and follow up care.  Please pray for Joey and if you can help financially, it would so be appreciated.
