Help Phyersoft Get to MomoCon

Donation protected
Greetings everyone.

I am Mike Poole. The lead developer over the small indie developer team, "Phyersoft". Currently we are working on our 1st game, "Barricade". A 2D arcade
puzzle game with an addictive but fun form of gameplay!

-THE GAME-

-ABOUT US-
Phyersoft was started back in 2005 after I changed over from my older Darkpryzm Studios name after I came out of military service. Since then, I couldn't have
felt more at home with a name and vibe that felt absolutely perfect for what I wanted to do. Make awesome games that would deliver the same enjoyment and feelings as the games from the 80's to the 90's did!

After many setbacks and team member changes. We are finally where we want to be progress-wise. We are a much tighter knit group that can work together very effectively.

We now have a fully playable demo ready to share that we have been trying to show around to various personalities on Youtube and Twitch. In the hopes that their play throughs could help promote the game and spread awareness of Phyersoft.

We have posted to many social media sites. Such as Reddit, Twitter and Facebook. Posted videos on Youtube. And posted to many indie communities! We do not wish to use Steam Greenlight. And really feel no developer should feel "trapped" to a point that they are stuck treading such a beaten path! There are many success stories without Steam. Its just a matter of finding the right folks to help push things along!

-THE SITUATION-
PAX East was completely out of our travel range. So I opted for a smaller showing at a local convention called "NashiCon". We were setup in the game room and managed to turn many heads and draw a large enough crowd for a tournament! The game was indeed a SMASH with those who got to try it out! They really loved the gameplay and concept. But most importantly, found it easy to pick up and get addicted to. Especially in the 2player VS mode.

Now what brings us to this proposal is that we feel more so than ever that this game really needs a solid chance to show the rest of the world how awesome it is! So now we turn our gazes to attending "MomoCon"!

http://www.momocon.com/

MomoCon is a show thats held yearly in Atlanta, Ga for anime and manga fans. Just like NashiCon. However, the big difference in the 2 shows is that MomoCon
draws far more larger crowds from across the country. And has a dedicated Indie area which will be seen by quite a few major players in the gaming industry. Such as IGN, Polygon, Machinima and many notable online personalities!

We absolutely do not want to let this chance pass us by.

So we are asking for help to cover the costs of 3 major things.

-THE PITCH-
We need funding to...

1) Obtain the table with the  4 passes($400).
2) Get a large banner and a poster printed up($120).
3) Acquire a 2nd, larger HDTV to use for the 2nd laptop that will run the game($300).

Currently we have a 37". But to really make a lasting impression. We would like to come with a 50". And the store I work at can get me one for a nice discount!

Things like lodging, fuel and food we can handle ourselves. I feel bad having to ask for help from strangers to do this. But to be frank. Its no different than what was already done years ago to form this team. I asked for help from 9 complete strangers. To follow me and come together to create something amazing! This time here will be the same. As I once again swallow my pride and look to all of you to help me get the hardwork that these guys have contributed, noticed!

-CLOSING-
The event takes place on the 26th of May. I would really like to try and reach our goal within 12 days. I admit that this is very short notice. Its just that I would have never imagined that I'd have to take a chance and look towards crowd funding to do this.  But right now we have a chance before us to let a larger audience on a grander stage see just how special "Barricade" is. And we really cannot let that chance slip away!

We would be grateful for anything you the community could spare! It would mean a lot to us! And we are open to rewarding contributors with a few perks!

-PERKS-
All who donate over $20 to this campaing will be gifted with a FREE copy of the fully completed game!

Also...

We will include the names of those that contributed the highest donations in the game's end credits as "Contributors"!

Thank you!
