I have been chosen to represent Great Britain at the World Stand Up Paddleboarding Championships to be held in Fiji in 12th-20th November 2016.
My selection for Team GB was based on last years results and recently finished 9th in the European Paddleboarding Championships in June 2016.
At present there is no funding available for our sport so we are having to raise the money to cover the costs of taking part in the competition ourselves. Currently we have secured a small sponsorship for the cost for the entry fees to the event and a small contribution to travel costs.
Any funds raised through this will be going towards some of the things below
- Equipment specific; cutting edge paddles boards and safety equipment.
- Fitness specific; training, gym pass, class pass, nutrition
- Transport specific; getting equipment and myself to the event
- Acomerdation during the event.
- Clothing specific; for training and competing
- Promotion specific; to gain more sponsorship and momentum
