Skye's fund for supporting Ely

Writing this could prove to be one of the hardest things I have ever done, as I attempt to tell you about my best friend, her beautiful family and their intense struggle, please realize I am talking about a woman who LITERALLY saved my life, with nothing but words and hugs and a desire to help.. She's one of those people who doesn't ask for help often, the very thought of it will bring her to tears, so here I sit writing for her..
Skye is a working mom, with two beautiful daughters, and twin eight year old boys. She works hard, waitressing, cleaning homes and baking. Ely, one of her twin boys was diagnosed with acute lympoblastic leukemia in march of 2011. His first round of chemo required several in patient hospital stays for over a year and a half, rendering it almost impossible for Skye to maintain a job and keep her house a float.  If not for an exremely accomadating and kind friend and landlord, Skye is certain she would of wound up homeless. After a total of three years of treatment and maintenence Ely was declared in remission and had his port for chemo removed about a year ago.  Skye resumed work and began to rebuild..
As they planned for Ely's make a wish trip a few weeks ago, Ely had become pale, and began to show major bruising again, A few visits to the doctor confirmed what I think would be any mother's worst fear. The leukemia was back, in full force and required immediate chemo. Ely had his port put back in 1/29/16 and resumed chemo the same day. Skye is now at home, caring for little man through his nausea, headaches and chemo side effects. Ely has to be monitored closely for fevers, as one could be fatal. His treatment this round looks much like last time. It could last between one and two years, depending on set backs .. the next few months determine Ely's risk, whether high or low and how agressive his treatment will have to be.
Most of us know single moms or have been single moms at one point or another. We all know the struggle, and how hard missing a few shifts at work can be. Even a few shifts can completely upset your budget and put you behind.. but not being able to work for a year? possibly two? Devastating.
Ely's medical care is covered, luckily. Skye still has a family though, bills, transportation costs, rent and food costs. Anything donated through this account goes directly to her bank to help with those needs. Skye lives a life of gratitude, and her and her family would greatly appreciate any help that can be given, whether it be in prayer or financial form.
update 2/2016
Ely has been in the hospital for over a week now, his body fighting off two kinds of bacteria that sent him into septic shock. He is out of ICU but is still in the oncology ward.
