Brighter Days Ahead – Help is Needed
Dear Patrons and Friends:
The coldest of the winter months in Wisconsin are almost over. Below zero temperatures, chill factors, and heavy snowfalls that make our winters even more difficult. Days, maybe even weeks goes by without any sunshine. What if you found yourself homeless during these months with nowhere to go? Where could you find help in the battle against hunger, homelessness, and personal addiction? The answer is The Love and Charity Mission, Inc. Racine, WI, founded by Louise Hunter in its effort to serve the community by distributing food to the needy daily and providing shelter for those who need the warmth and shelter from the cold. After more than forty years Love and Charity Mission, Inc. is in need of funds to help with the energy cost of the building in 2016. Love and Charity Shelter currently is able to accomidate 19 men and women. Our donations are low this year and we are asking for donations to help pay our energy bill before services are shut off.
