2019 Spain Women's Basketball Tour

On Tuesday of this past week, a fellow teammate and I were invited to go on an International basketball tour to represent the United States in Spain this summer. The 11-day tour from June 3rd to June 13th includes 4 games against Spanish teams and includes putting on basketball clinics for the local youth in Madrid, Valencia, and Barcelona. We will be working with coaches from around the country and head coach of the Costa Rican national team, Josh Erickson. The selection criteria for this team included statistical leaders, all-conference accolades, and coaches' recommendations as well as passionate athletes who are eager to well represent their town, team, school, and country.
This is an opportunity to experience a new culture and great international basketball competition. I would use this time and opportunity to represent my hometown (Mountain Home, AR), Hendrix College, and the United States. International competition is a different level of basketball, that would help me gain skills to use in my remaining two years of collegiate basketball career.
If you know me, you understand that getting the chance to travel is amazing, but not the most appealing part to me. Getting to learn from and be coached by such successful coaches to develop my leadership skills, work with local children to help them understand the game that has brought me so many opportunities, and creating friendships and relationships that will last me a lifetime are what intrigue me most.
The cost of the program is $4,500 and consists of three payments. We also have to pay for our flights to LAX in order to get an international flight so total cost of the trip is $5,000. Unfortunately, we received the invitation late and are in a bit of a time crunch.
The first payment ($500) is due at the end of February, second March 22 ($2,000), and 3rd on My 10th ($2,000).
Without help from my communities, unfortunately there will be no way for me to take this opportunity. I appreciate any and all donations for this trip and thank you all from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this.
