Istanbul LGBTI+ Pride Week celebrates its 27th anniversary!
Istanbul Pride Week, organised with the collective efforts of volunteers, who gather with open calls will take place this year 24 - 30 June 2019.
Istanbul Pride has brought up various themes including “Beware of the Family!”, “Taboo”, “Memory”, “Contact”, “Normal?” and “We Unite!” in the last years. Once again this year, in addition to the the forums, panel discussions and events addressing issues such as health, visibility, and constitutional rights central to agenda of the LGBTI+ movement, we will also discuss how we can build a political sense of solidarity and how we can find alternative ways to achieve this, despite the state of emergency and oppression becoming more of a menace every single day.
To reach out each other, to heal our wounds, and to talk about our experiences, bodies, and emotions, we will come together at workshops, and we will celebrate our solidarity in parties. Just like every year, we will vote and elect this year’s hate speech champions among your nominations at the 15th "Genetically Modified Tomatoes" ceremony. We will extend our rebellion with our comrades coming from other cities for the Pride Week. We will continue to spread throughout the city and shout out loud that "we are here" with our stencils and our annual exhibition, which is organised with an open call to artists and through consensus.
Last year we reacted to the ban on our march by dispersing into every corner of Istanbul with glitter, confetti and rainbow flags, reading our press statements. We raised our voice not only on Istiklal Street but on every place and every space possible to make ourselves to be heard. From this point on, in the face of the every obstacle put on our way, every problem that makes our lives harder, we will continue to react even more creatively than ever before. We are not giving up on the streets, we are not letting any kind of fear to scare us away. We are here, we are not leaving, and get used to it!
We are waiting for your donations for the expenses of this week-long organisation that is put together with a collective solidarity without any funds granted:
• Travel and accommodation expenses for the local LGBTI+ organisations coming from all across Turkey
• Travel and accommodation for the panelists
• Communication/Press expenses (i.e. social media, website hosts)
• Genetically Modified Tomato Awards (i.e. production, décor, video recordings and editings)
• Event expenses (i.e. security, fees for some event spaces if necessary)
• Pride Week Exhibition (exhibition setup)

İstanbul LGBTİ+ Onur Haftası bu yıl 27 yaşında!
Her sene açık çağrıyla bir araya gelen gönüllü grubunun kolektif katkılarıyla hazırlanan Onur Haftası bu sene 24 - 30 Haziran 2019 tarihlerinde gerçekleşecek.
Şimdiye kadar “Dikkat Aile Var!”, “Tabu”, “Bellek”, “Direniş”, “Temas”, “Normal?”, “Aramızda Ne Var?”, “Sınır” temalarıyla şekillenen Onur Haftası'nda hafta boyunca LGBTİ+ hareketinin gündemini oluşturan sağlık, görünürlük ve anayasal haklar gibi konularda yaptığımız forumlar, paneller ve etkinliklere ek olarak her gün artan baskılara rağmen politik birlikteliği nasıl örebileceğimizi, bunun için hangi alternatif yolları bulabileceğimizi konuşacağız.
Birbirimize dokunmak, yaralarımızı sarmak, güvenli alanlar oluşturarak deneyimlerimizi, bedenlerimizi ve duygularımızı konuşabilmek için atölyelerde, bir aradalığımızı kutlamak için partilerde buluşacağız. Bu sene de 15. Hormonlu Domates Ödülleri ile bu yılın nefret söylemlerini sizin belirlediğiniz adaylarla oylamaya sunarak seçecek, hafta boyunca yapılacak partiler ile İstanbul LGBTİ+ Onur Haftası için farklı şehirlerden gelen yüzlerce kişiyle beraber eğlenerek varoluşumuzu kutlamaya, isyanımızı güçlendirmeye devam edeceğiz. Stencil, sticker ve afişlerimizle şehre dağılmaya, hala burada olduğumuzu bağırmaya devam edeceğiz.
Geçtiğimiz senelerde yürüyüşlerimize gelen yasaklamalara karşı tepkimizi İstanbul’un her bir köşesine simlerle, konfetilerle, gökkuşağı bayraklarıyla dağılarak, basın açıklamamızı okuyarak gösterdik. Sözümüzü sadece İstiklal Caddesi üzerinde değil, bulunduğumuz her noktada ve sesimizi duyurabildiğimiz her alanda söyledik. Bundan sonra da önümüze çıkarılan her engelde ve hayatımızı zorlaştıran her sorunda bir öncekinden daha farklı ve daha yaratıcı olarak tepkimizi ortaya koymaya devam edeceğiz. Sokakları da caddeleri de bırakmıyor, hiçbir korkunun bizi hizaya sokmasına izin vermiyoruz. Buradayız, alışın, gitmiyoruz!
Kolektif bir dayanışma ile fon alınmadan hazırlanan bu hafta içerisinde bazı masraflarımız için herkesin desteğini bekliyoruz:
- Türkiye'nin dört bir yanından ve dünyanın çeşitli yerlerinden gelen LGBTİ+ aktivistlerinin ulaşım ve konaklama masrafları
- Panel katılımcılarının ulaşım ve konaklama masrafları
- İletişim/Basın harcamaları (Sosyal medya, websitesi sağlayıcıları)
- Hormonlu Domates Ödül Töreni (Prodüksiyon, dekor, video çekimleri)
- Hafta boyunca gerçekleşecek sanat etkinlikleri
- Hafta boyunca/ öncesinde/ sonrasında oluşabilecek kırtasiye ve baskı masrafları vb.
