On March 14-18, 2018, Sixteen 6th graders along with their Teachers and Parent Chaperones will embark on a journey to New York City to participate in the Model United Nations Conference.

This extraordinary experience provides  a unique leadership opportunity to our students.  At a time when our world has so much uncertainty, the MMUN program seeks to give young students an understanding of he world through research and earnest debate with other students from around the world.  MMUN is a simulation program where students assume a role of delegates to the UN.  Each student represents a country and serves on a committee that address a world issue.

Border Star has participated in this program since 2009.  Each year the students along with their teachers and dedicated parent volunteers seek to raise funds so that ALL of the sixth grade class can participate.  This year our goal is $15,000.
