2017 Summer Universiade Games

This year, Darren Barnes competed in the USA Weightlifting University National Championships for the first time taking home 3 gold medals. He received a call later informing him that he qualified to represent the United States in the 2017 World Universiade Games in Chinese Taipei. Darren also has a good shot at bringing home a gold medal from this competition. He Currently holds youth, junior, senior, and university records in the United States. His moto is to give 100% and have some fun. Since this trip is not funded by the USA Weightlifting Fedaration, Darren is in need of assistance These funds will help him with competition registration, flights, and food.
