Kettering University

Ohio University

This year, our selected charity is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Over 1.2 million people in the United States either currently have or are in remission from a type of blood cancer. Every nine minutes, one person in the United States will die from blood cancer.

The mission of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, and other types of blood cancers and to support cancer patients and their families. LLS acts on their mission by donating money to cancer research, providing free information on blood cancer and education on treatment options, and lobbying to make sure every cancer patient has access to the care they need.

The students participating in this fundraiser will soon be physician assistants, healthcare professionals practicing medicine in Ohio and beyond. We will likely encounter and help treat many patients with blood cancer during our careers, and we care deeply about finding a cure. Please donate to help us reach our goal of raising $5,000 for this worthy cause.
