2017 Lone Star Leadership Academy

Tryston was so deservingly nominated by SEVERAL of his teachers to be a delegate at the Lone Star Leadership Academy, a Texas educational travel program for outstanding 4th-8th grade students. The Lone Star Leadership Academy is hosted by Education in Action, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people to be informed and active leaders in their communities.
This is our son, Tryston, he is an AMAZING young man who makes us proud every day! What a proud moment for us and a great opportunity for him to develop leadership skills, self-confidence, and independence!
Tryston was born with ABS, amniotic band syndrome. We have tried our best to instill self confidence and being deferential toward others. It wasn't always easy! As a mama, you want to protect your babies! Man oh man, did he conquer this at a young age in Kinder when he had his first real taste of someone making fun of him. I cried. He cried. Then he went back to school and stood on his own two little feet and fixed it! Proud I tell you, I'm proud of everything he has done thus far! This Academy would be a great opportunity for him to continue growing as a little leader!
So, if you read all that!!!... he would LOVE to attend the academy this summer and needs a little help!
