Janine Jungfels is, without question, one of the most talented female athletes Australia has... yet, even if you are right into your cycling, you probably do not know who she is. Why?
Janine is a trials rider, one of the lesser known cousins of mainstream Mountain Biking. Think Danny MacAskill or Martyn Ashton from the Road bike Party videos, but a girl!
Due to lack of competition against females, she competes with the men which she credits for her power on the bike. Just check out the videos.
This campaign is to help her get to Europe to defend her world title in Italy. She is currently a self-funded athlete, and the lack of sponsorship and support has been challenging.
“As a self-funded athlete, the hardest thing is to try and save enough money to cover flights over to Europe to compete and for my cycling licence and insurance."
She's training hard and is more motivated than ever to defend her world title... all she needs to do now is to find the funds :)
