2000 books for 2 causes

Hey all, so this account is actutally set up in a way that not only brings a book series to the digital shelves of some of our local schools and libraries but also all proceeds from this campaign go to the authour of the books to provide their family with funds that will be used to pay for for their daughter's medical treatments.
My name is Raya and I have loved books for as long as I can remember. It has always brought me a sense of peace when I could curl up with a good book and just escape reality and befriend characters who's lives were far more interesting than mine. Together we could share an adventure and for just a few hours or days (depending on long it took to read the book) the problems around me melted away.
Even at a young age I was constantly sharing my love of books and so I must admit that my heart was completely broken when I went back to my old high school and found the library devoid of books. The school librarian informed me that our district, as well as many surrounding districts had elected to go the way of "Digital downloads" rather than worry about hard copies anymore. I was doubly surprised to find that my local county and city libraries were also taking steps in that direction. The problem they are facing now is that it is harder to get people to donate digital downloads.
I was trying to figure out a solution to the lack of digital donations when I came across a post on Facebook that offered up a form of solution to not only my problem, but that would also help out a person who's talents I have greatly admired.
Dylan White, author of the Apparition Series posted this to his fans and followers, "This is a serious plea for help – but you can get something in return. I've asked you to buy my books before but here's the thing: with all the bills that have been adding up this year, especially the last month, we've gone through everything we have. We've been scraping by for so long and so many other things have been sacrificed so we can pay for our daughter's medical supplies. Now I'm embarrassed and ashamed to say that we've reached the point where, despite my best efforts, we've maxed out our debt and we can't pay all of the rest of our bills. And the extra work I've taken on has dried up. I do not want to ask for a hand-out so that is why I'm asking if you have just $4 to please buy one of my books. Just $4. My first book is free. The other two are only $4. Get one or both. Shoot, buy more and give them as gifts. You'll be helping my family and you'll be getting a book. Paperbacks will soon be available, too, but the eBooks are seriously only $4. That's less than a latte. 700 books will get us caught up. After reading his post I contacted Mr. White to let him know that I would like to raise money to purchase several copies of his books to donate. Every copy of the books purchased, goes to a school or library in the Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County areas and all of the proceeds for the books go to helping pay for their daughter's medical expenses. I know that in his original post it says only 700 books need to be sold to cover their current debt but my goal is to raise enough money to purchase 2000 copies of the complete trilogy.
I would like to hit at least half that goal by the end of December but for both causes the sooner, the better. I know the worst thing in the world is to not be able to care for your children the way you need to be able to and it's even worse when you are at a disadvantage due to a medical issue. Luckily in this case, there is a way to help solve two problems, and by helping others, we can help ourselves.
I know that I would be eternally grateful to those who are willing to make a donation on this page, any amount you can give will help us. A $4.00 donation buys 1 book in the series and a $12.00 donation buys the whole trilogy.
