Journey back to health

Donation protected
Eric, known to us as Armael or Mello, is 24 years old and has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called sarcoma in November 2019. Eric was what you would consider a normal man who walked at least a mile everyday, worked out regularly, consumed protein to bulk up and had just started boxing. Overnight a mass appeared on Eric's neck. After multiple visits to different hospitals it was determined he had a blood clot. How did he then get diagnosed with cancer? Go
to the first journal entry to see how his journey begins at https://caringbridge.org/visit/mellostrong. You will also find direct contact information for the family and other ways to help as you explore his site.

Anyone who comes in contact with Mello would describe him in one of two ways "chill" or "laid back". He is very thoughtful and conscious of the things he says and does. He loves to write and rap. He's performed under the stage name of Mellodramatic along with his long time friend D-Tray. He has some recordings on SoundCloud under his stage name.

Eric works at Planet Fitness in Kenosha (currently on leave). In his free time he likes to read, visit with family and friends, and work out. He loves fried chicken and chocolate cake! He's interested in watching basketball games, MMA and boxing. His favorite football team is the Chicago Bears.

Mello was working full time, however, since  he his diagnosis, he has endured long and repeated, hospital stays that have prevented him from going to work. He was independent and living on his own. Since this began, his family and friends have pitched in to pay bills at his home, purchase medical supplies, food, and provide transportation back and forth to doctor visits in Milwaukee to keep him as comfortable as possible while he focuses on his health.

As you can imagine this can come out to be a hefty price tag especially when the brunt of the work lies heavily on one person. There are some charities that help in times like this but after a long day of working and caregiving, there just isn't enough time in a day to do all the research and provide all of the documents.

We started the go fund me as a place where those who want to help but find it easier to donate, and can't reach Mello in person, will still have a way to show their support. Thank you in advance.
