Hi I’m Kamila husband

This is been the worst day of my life.  Unfortunately my wife today has lost her fight against this stupid disease cancer. The only thing it could take us apart was the death.

The light of my life has left this world. The pain won’t stop. She was the best thing I ever have in my life.  Was the must beautiful, greatest 21 years of ours life’s together. She is the love of my life since she was 13 and I was 15. She was the must charismatic person I ever knew , everyone loves her. Hard worker, best partner, support me on everything I want. She was smart, outgoing, always smiling and bringing people together when she’s organized a family party and must importantly,  a big heart always ready to help.

She is with God now. That’s the only thing that’s comfort me.

She was warrior with smile. She always kind to people even when she was in a lot pain.

I need to honor her last wish. She wants to be send back to Brazil and be buried in her city.

I would like to ask one last time for your help because all this process is very expensive.the range of cost is  between $12 k to $14 k.

I Will appreciate any help. God bless you all!!!

My name is Kamila Marques and I'm 33 years old. In January 2016, my world turned upside down when a find a lump during a self breast exam. After doctor visits, tests and procedures, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, specifically stage 2A invasive ductal carcinoma. I was terrified but leaned on my faith in God and on the support of my family, husband and friends. My treatment started in February 2016, when I have my second surgery (a lumpectomy), which consists of partial breast removal. Unfortunately, I had an infection after the surgery and was hospitalized for five days to take antibiotics. The chemotherapy treatment began in May with four cycles every three weeks. It was a very difficult treatment, I had a lot of nausea, body pain and a lot of weakness. I have allergic reactions to the chemotherapy drugs and in the third cycle, I had start of a heart attack and the doctor had to stopped the treatment and change the chemotherapy medication. After the chemotherapy treatment, in July, I started a series of 30 radiation sessions, then my medical oncologist prescribed a hormone therapy medication (tamoxifen) and I was unable to go back to work. Even though we have health insurance, the cancer treatment is very expensive and by October 2016, my spouse had already spent around $6,500 on medical expenses even after the insurance was settled. Almost two years had passed and I thought things were getting better, but I started to feel pain in my arm and my back making it impossible to move my arm. At the end of 2017, I had a biopsy and that confirmed that the cancer had spread to the bone of my scapula and my cancer was renamed to stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. I started treatment with a new medical oncologist and underwent 10 scapular radiation sessions, I also took chemotherapy pills every day for three weeks with a stronger hormone therapy treatment call ( faslodex). In addition to the usual side effects associated with cancer treatment, I developed clots in the lungs and diabetes. I had a severe stomach pain and lost 55 pounds. I was hospitalized five times during this crisis and finally diagnosed with gastroparesis caused by diabetes. My medical oncologist told me that I would only have 3 more years to live, even with the treatment. My world literally collapsed. As you can imagine, hearing these words was one of the worst events of my life. I didn't know what to do or what to think. I was terrified and lost. My husband and I cry a lot. He reminded me that my life is in God's hands and only God has the last word about my life. Unfortunately, along with the new treatment, expenses also increased, and in 2017 and 2018 I also ended up paying the health insurance out of pocket of around $7,000 a year. The worst was yet to come when I started to feel a pain in my leg that wasn’t getting better. My medical oncologist order a pet scan and found that the cancer had spread and now it was in the femoral bone of the left leg and a lymph node in my chest near to my lung. Again, I have to do a 10 radiation sessions. Unfortunately have done a surgery to remove my ovaries and soon I will start a new chemotherapy treatment. It’s been almost four years, there have been many ups and downs. There’s been a total of 9 surgical procedures, some infections and a lot of side effects of the chemo and pain medications along with a lot of pain and emotional suffering. I am also very sad because I know that the people who love me are also suffering. Since I started the treatment I could no longer work and with only my husband working, it is very difficult to cope with the full cost of treatment in addition to other expenses like medicines and alternative treatments, daily bills such as rent, gas, electricity and etc. I'm sharing my story now, because after all this time fighting, I really need help. If you can, please send a donation (in any amount) to help fund my medical expenses. It would give me the necessary reassurance so that I could focus my energies on my treatment and my struggle. I thank you all for your generosity and pray to God to bless you all.

Meu nome é Kamila Marques e tenho 33 anos.
