Help our friends at Livingstones
$11,637 of $15,000 goal
By now we all know about the fire at Livingstone's Pub and Grill. We also know at least one person who has been affected by this fire. We all love Stones and we all love Linda and Cynthia. I, for one, have shared countless birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations and just good times in general. Chances are, you have too.
After talking with Linda and Cynthia today, it's been determined that they're more concerned with their loyal staff than they are about themselves.
Isn't this just so typical of them!?!
Livingstones bartenders, servers, bussers, cooks, dishwashers, they're our friends, family members, loved ones. We are able, so we will.
Some of us in the neighborhood thought now would be the time to come together for the servers, bartenders, bussers and dishwashers; all who come together for us on a daily basis to give us something to look forward to after stressful days, long meetings, emotional gatherings with family, etc. We know what it's like to live on tips, to work day to day, coming home with cash in hand to pay bills and provide for family. Many of you ask, "How can I help?" Here's how.
This is a small, achievable goal, to offer our friends the ability to have a Christmas, pay their bills, provide for thier families and hopefully, carry on in as much normalcy as possible during this very difficult time.
Any donation helps. Please remember that even $5 adds up.
Once our goal is reached (and exceeded, come on, this is Tower community we're talking about!) we will divide this by 30 ( number of employees) and pass it out accordingly.
Thank you all for helping during this very difficult time.
We were able to raise $11,637 in total and I'm so proud of my neighborhood and all the folks who make Tower District our special little community of love. The first half of the money was given before Christmas and the remaining balance will be given before the week ends.
Thank you, again. You are all so awesome!
The outpouring of love just keeps coming in!
Our friends Theo and the band Rockville raised $500 last night by just manning a booth in front of Stones and playing some music. He'll be out there again tonight if you don't like to use online methods of payment and would rather donate that way. All monies received will be deposited to this account.
I've also received countless texts and messages from friends who want to contribute but cannot until Friday.
I also just got word that a popular bar/nightclub in North Fresno who will be holding a fundraiser for our friends this weekend. I'll be holding this page open until Monday but I'll raise the goal once again because 30 friends need to feel comfortable and able to provide for their families this holiday season.
Keep on sharing and spreading the word.
THIS IS WHAT TOWER IS ALL ABOUT!
Look at us, lovin' on our friends and stuff!!!!
How rad is this?
So close to our goal in LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!!!!!
30 employees. 30 friends. 30 family members.
Let's keep this momentum going and raise the goal!
I know if we keep sharing, we can help a little more.
Thank you everyone who've already done so much. You are ALL so greatly appreciated.
Keep sharing and posting!
So what is the news on a reopening time frame? We are so missing you all!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! Words can not express how we are so grateful for all of you! I can't wait to see all your faces at the re- opening party and thank each one of you personally! Happy New Year, it's going to be a good one! Peace Love and Happiness. #stonestrong. #inmytribe
