Update:
The Coffee House was battered by Dorian, the tornadoes ripped a large roof section and tore through the building, removing two walls. The building is untarpable due to the lack of structure. Heather and Andrew have volunteer builders who want to help save the building but need to afford the hardware.
Immediately, the coffee house's structure needs to be salvaged then a complete gut job. Heather and Andrew need your help in purchasing the hardware and supplies to try to save Hope Town Coffee House.
Thank you for your consideration and help!
Within hours of Hurricane Dorian hitting Hope Town, the Hope Town Coffee House was destroyed as well as the heart of the business, the roaster located in the building in the back. Two buildings destroyed; one in the first half of the storm, and the other in the second half. Andrew and Heather Prosa, owners of the Hope Town Coffee House and their two young children, Luke, 13 and Fina, 8, are now trying to find their way forward out of this chaos. With no hurricane insurance, they lost the two buildings where they reside and run a business. The Coffee House which has been an institution for welcoming visitors to Hope Town is now completely uninhabitable.People who know Heather know she’s the one always helping others. This is not easy for Heather or Andrew to ask for help. It’s our time to pull together to help them in their time of need! Hope Town Coffee was loved by many. Please help them not only rebuild the structures but also their lives.
