Don't turn away, give today...

Our dear friend, Don Walker, has just been diagnosed with esophageal cancer.  We are starting a fundraiser to help defray costs, for bills, while undergoing treatment.  While not working, finding money for gas to get to his treatments is already difficult. Step up and make a difference in Dons life. I will give you a little back ground on Don.  He is an avid lover of animals.  He took a job thirty some years ago, as a ranch hand for a newly divorced, Mary Gygax.  She was the, ex wife of the dungeons and dragons game inventor, Gary Gygax.   After two years of taking care of her 40 Arabians horses by herself, she decided it was time to hire someone.  She told Don, if you can get a halter on that, ruely 9 month old colt out in the pasture, you got the job.   It took Don about an hour, but he was hired.  Four years later, a romance ensued and they married.  After lengthy, never ending, court room battles,  Mary was forced to give up her farm and purchased an old farm, in Bruce, WI.   She was injured in an auto accident leaving Don to attend the farm and horses.   Mary's injuries were too severe to be able to help Don at all.  So Don assumed all farm duties and has also been Mary's caregiver.  Due to his illness, Mary and Don have had to place the remainder of the horses in loving homes.   Empty pastures are a sad reminder of Don's illness.  Don is an exceptionally hard worker.  Sometimes working more than one job and  caring for the horses at the same time.  He is always willing to lend a hand when someone else is in need.  He would give you the shirt off his back, even if it was his last.   Now its time to give Don a helping hand.  Whatever you could give, would be so appreciated...
