Help Chris’s Long Road To Recovery

For those of you that know Chris, you know he is an athletic, funny, caring, loving and all around great man. He always has a way of making people laugh. I met Chris a little over a year ago and since day one, he has made me so happy. It is so weird how things happen when you least expect it, sometimes for the best and unfortunately for the worst.
On Monday, May 20th, Chris had a seizure in his sleep, and thankfully, I woke up. Once we got to the hospital, we were notified that he had suffered a Massive Stroke. He then was Bay Flighted to Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg for emergency medical attention. A Massive Stroke at the age of 36, seemed unimaginable, but just like that, our lives were flipped upside down. Wednesday, May 22nd, he was stable and resting in order to heal. He has been on anti-inflammatory medication to keep the swelling in his brain as minimal as possible. He has been passing all of his neurological tests, which was a great sign but today, Thursday May 23rd, when we returned to him, they told us his swelling has increased from a 0.5 to 1.4 which was expected but not in such a short time frame. The Neuro Surgeon said the best way to help the swelling is to go ahead with the Craniectomy. This will help the brain to swell without shifting the brain and causing anymore damage. With that being said, he will be on a very long long road to recovery. His family, my family and I have been by his side, watching and helping him fight through this. We all need your help with continued prayers, and along with any financial assistance to lead him on the fastest road to recovery. When Chris regains consciousness, he will not be able to return to work for some time. He will have to go through rigorous therapy simply to recapture normal functionality. Anything you can donate will be so much appreciated, and appreciated is an understatement. Please help with any amount that you can. He is loved by so many and is so strong.
