Liam has been regularly going to Seattle Children’s Hospital since he was born and they have always provided the absolute best care possible for him. We are so thankful for everything they’ve done for us and are always looking for ways to give back to them. They have generously given us financial assistance for this (very) expensive surgery which makes me even more motivated to find more ways to give back.
Unfortunately I'm unable to donate my time to Seattle Children's due to the level of commitment required but they are always in need of specific handmade items. I've began making blankets and knitted balls and donating them to Seattle Children's as a way to regularly give back them.
As much as I'd love to donate an unlimited amount of blankets and balls to them, I'm limited to what I can afford to spend on the materials for these items. If you'd like to help beyond sending Well Wishes and keeping us in your thoughts, we would greatly appreciate donations that can go towards the cost of the materials to make the handmade items that they need.
$40 covers the cost of the materials for a set of infant flannel blankets
$25 covers the cost of the materials for one fleece blanket
$5 covers the cost of the materials for one ball

"Please consider our greatest need. At this time it's infant flannel blanket sets."
"One item we have a great need for is blankets. Blankets bring much comfort and are often a cherished item. We repeatedly hear stories where they are kept for years as a keepsake. It is our goal that each child who is admitted to the hospital overnight will receive one. We are far from meeting that goal."
"Knitted yarn balls are just the right size and soft for kids who might be inclined to throw them. Also used for rehab therapy and to release frustration."
