Get Baxter Moving

Baxter (The dachshund shown in the photo) who is 10 ,had to visit the vets on the 18th of April as we realised he couldn't use the back end of his body. This means his legs don't work and he can't walk which means he is also constantly uncomfortable , aswell as that he cannot go to the toilet in both matters and as seen he needs a puppy pad as he is constantly leaking. For a dog this isn't a great lifestyle as he is 'bed' bound and any time he tries to walk we here crying coming from him. The vets told us that it seems to be a slipped disk and in his back (which is common amongst dachshunds) and the surgery would cost around £4000. We had adopted him a year back from a family that could no longer look after him because of work and he needs company. Unfortunately we do not have the money to pay for his surgery and they are only 2 other options which would be to leave him as he is terrible as it is heartbreaking to hear him constantly groan and whine. Or the other option of putting him down , which at the age of 10 is extremely young for him (as they live to about 16). So instead we decided to turn to goFund me to see if the surgery was an actual option. We realise they are many other projects going on right now but If you could help to get Baxter moving again and able to use his body we would be more than grateful and over the moon.
