I no longer know what to do. We are about to be homeless. I recently moved from Indiana to Montana. I had hoped for a better future. It hasn't worked out that way. I have been here for a little over two months. I have not been able to find work. I have good credintials and the only available jobs are low paying. I have been told that they do not want to hire me because they know if I get better offer I would leave. They are probably right. I did find a job, but it isn't local. It requires my son and I to travel a great distance. But with no money, I don't see us getting there by the date I had promised my future employer. Truthfully, I thought starting this campaign I would actually succeed.
Don't get me wrong. I am greatful for the help I have received. I was only asking a dollar from each person who viewed this page. People who have donated are more than generous. I personally contacted about 100 churches and I have had over 500 views. 51 shares. 5 donations(all from people I know). Yet I have been sent letters and rude comments. People calling me a scammer and a fraud. Unfortuately I have nothing but my word to prove otherwise. I grew up in a time where everyone helped each other. I can't even tally up the number of people I personally have helped throughout the years and I can feel the shift in the world. Generousity seems scarce and I hope if you have read this entire letter that you realize that I am genuine. That though I am struggling, I am still greatful for what I do have, I am just running out of time. I have 11 days left. No where to go, no money to get there. What you see donated is all the money we have in the world. Our possessions are few. I sold most of my stuff to move here. If we just reach half of our goal, I can get to my new job and hopefully have enough to stay somewhere until I find a place for us to live.
I know there are fake people out there in the world today. My son and I are not two of them. Thank you for your time. Thank you more for your share. And we thank you GREATLY for any donation that will enable us to make it to our new place, new job and hopefully a new home.
