My name is Aaron Royall & I'm 23 years old. I'm on a mission, but I need your help & support.
Over the next 8 months, I will put my mind & body to the ultimate test, running 18 marathons across Australia, SOLO. In total I'll be running close to 800km’s the equivalent of Sydney to Melbourne and driving close to 25,000km
I'm ready for the run of my life which will raise funds for a cause extremely close to my heart, mental health & suicide prevention.
My goal is to drive change & raise critical funds in the fight against suicide of young people. I hope to raise awareness around seeking support from family & friends & will give everything I have to improving the lives of those affected by mental illness.
The sad fact is that the leading cause of death for people aged between 15 to 44 is suicide. If you are an Australian the chances are you either know someone suffering from a mental health illness or you are suffering yourself because latest research says that 1 in 5 Australians will suffer and a further 50 percent of young Australians are in the dark as they are too embarrassed to even talk about mental health issues.
This needs to change.
I am only one person, but I'm a big believer that one person can make a difference. I have partnered up with The Black Dog Institute, with all funds donated to various educational programs within schools and organisations. Funds raised will go a long way to support people who are affected by mental illness & I just cannot do it without you.
