16 Penalties, 1 Goal

€2,030 of €1,600 goal

Raised by 58 people in 2 months
The Irish Amputee Football Team have qualified for the Amputee Football World Cup and will travel to Guadalajara, Mexico in October 2018. The cost of funding this trip has put a strain on the finances of The Irish Amputee Football Association.

In order to have money in place to continue the development of amputee football after this tournament and into 2019 this fundraising campaign has been launched. 16 well known Irish sports stars and celebrities have kindly got involved and every time we get €100 closer to our target of €1,600 we will release video footage of 1 of these stars taking a penalty on an Irish International Amputee Football goalkeeper.

Please get behind this campaign by spreading the word online and by giving what you can. Thank you for reading and for supporting Irish Amputee Football.

Leg off, Game on!!

Hi folks. Apologies for the lack of updates recently but please don't take that as anything other than preparations for the upcoming world cup mean that everything else (including updating the GoFundMe page) must come second after training. We broke the €1,800 mark this morning which is great news and hopefully that figure will keep on rising between now and the final video. Here is video number 9 (Paddy O'Rourke) as promised. I have released videos 10 (Josh van der Flier) and 11 (Shane Supple) on social media over the past week and I will try and post them here over the weekend. Your support means so much to me and the rest of the team. Thank you so much for all your generosity. Another update coming soon.

Hi everyone, I'm delighted to say that our target of €1,600 was hit last night. I can't believe how quickly this campaign gathered momentum and once again I want to thank you all for your generous contributions. The plan now is to keep going and see how much can actually be raised so please keep spreading the word and sharing online if you can. Video number 7 features the one and only Damien Duff. I was going to keep this one until later in the campaign but given we hit the target I said I would show it earlier as it's a good one. Many thanks once again. I'll check in with video number 8 at some point in the next 24hrs.

So far Garry Ringrose, Keith Ward, Jamie McGrath, Tadhg Furlong and Jarlath Regan have thrown their weight behind this cause as have you. We are up to €1,405 in less than 1 week and it is all down to your generous donations. I'll keep the videos coming as a result. Video no 6 is attached to this update and it's another top top name in Irish sport. Thank you for all the support.
