CARES provides shelter – as well as case management services – to mommies, daddies, school kids, toddlers, infants, elders and veterans in need of a home. This year, we have provided 13,183 shelter beds! CARES also helps folks find a home. An amazing 72% of the individuals and families served this year have been placed into housing.
Your gift is more important now more than ever! The need for funds is always immediate. Every year, we strive to ensure that the services we offer are filling the need in our community. This means making the necessities of life readily available to those who need it.
We need your help. You are great, our work is great, our success is great, and our expenses – while far lower than those of any other shelter in our region – are continually overwhelming us. We are the lucky ones and sometimes we struggle with the electric bill. Imagine how tough it is for CARES to pay the electric bill for 60 people. Without you CARES can’t. Your contribution will offset the cost of running the overnight shelter, resource center, and our newest program, Cyberspace.
