12U Wilmington All Stars

A group of talented young ladies trying to make their way to Jensen Beach, Florida for the Babe Ruth World Series tournament. You may have seen the girls on the news or heard them on the radio, they are an amazing group of fifth, sixth and seventh grade girls playing softball because they love it!  As a recreational league, some of the girls have been playing since they were 4 and for some this is their first year on a softball team.  They went undefeated in the state championship to advance to regionals and are now on their way to compete in the World Series in Jensen Beach, Florida.  It is an expensive undertaking but a once in a lifetime opportunity and, for a handful of the girls, their last chance before aging out.  Not your typical pre-teens, the girls have spent their summer days selling smoothies, promoting hot dogs, sporting goods, and philly cheesesteaks; their summer nights practicing until the field lights are turned off.   Any donation is greatly appreciated but the community support is what will be remembered.  Spread the word that Wilmington All Stars is playing to win...like us, share us and follow us!  Thank you!!
