 DALLAS, TX
My little brother, Julio Ortiz, was a victim of bullying, but unfortunately this tragedy didn't end with bruises and black eyes, it ended with his life.  Julio Ortiz died at age 11, on March 8th, and left behind six brothers and sisters and two loving parents. In our hearts our brother will never be forgotten and that's why we have placed all of our money into his funeral service and burial.
However, I reach out to the people who have been victims of bullying, to all the fathers and mothers that have ever had to bury their son, to all the sisters and brothers that have lost their loved ones, and asking for your help to buy my brother a tombstone. I want to be able to purchase him a tomb stone that justifies his life, character, and friendly persona Julio has always been recognized for. My mother will be donating the remainder of the amount collected after purchase to a program that will make a difference in lives of victims of bullying.

This was Julio's very first day in school at L.P Cowart in Mr. Michelena's classroom. I still remember it like it was yesterday.

my most heartfelt & deepest condolences. here in southern Ga., bullying is the worst that I've ever encountered in my entire life as an African American. I must say, the Hispanic, Indian, & Asian communities are a life savior & my rocks of gibraltar. they have nothing to do w/wht ppl & their lives are beautiful. after 8 yrs here, I've too learned from their examples, as a well educated, upper middle class African American, I've begun as of 2016 having nothing to do w/the local low class, lowly educated, southern whts/blks & my life has improved DRAMATICALLY! just this weekend, a wht Kroger store Mgr asked where I'd been, a wht clk stood next to me as I ordered starbucks, & the enterprise clk asked as to where I w/headed. I simply looked directly at them, letting them know I heard them, & w/o answering turned & walked away (w/a huge smile on my face). kids are not this strong, this is why i implore ppl to home school their kids as long as possible, teach them self defense, but mainly to avoid uneducated, bigoted, whts/blks at all cost. African Americans are just as racist as white Americans, & in some occasions "more racist", certainly more violent. this angel shouldnt be lying 6 ft, my heart drops. i make it my business to smile & greet all Hispanics, esp kids, also come to their defense when theyre being questioned by wht ppl...
