Who is $10 Taxi Cab:
My name is Tony Kershaw. I am the founder and CEO of $10 Taxi Cab. I started this company in April 2014 based in Lake Charles, La. I had been selling cars for about 4 years, prior. At that time I noticed that there was a great need for better transportation in Lake Charles. I would hear countless stories from car buying customers about how they needed to get a vehicle because there was not any affordable or reliable ways to get around town. Those customers were willing to take overpriced vehicles and high interest loans in order to get transportation. But a high percentage of those people could not get approved for a vehicle. The idea for $10 Taxi Cab was then born.

Our Mission:
$10 Taxi Cab's mission consist of three parts. First, provide professional service. I started this company with the main objective of providing the best customer service possible. The best customer service is factored into every decision that I make for this company. 
Second reliability. What good is a service if you can not count on it to be there when you need it? I strive to be available whenever you call, to be to your location when we say we are going to be there, and for you to not have to pay if we make you late. Our policy is to be to your location within 20 mins of our stated dispatch time. If we are not there, then the ride is free.
Third we aim to be affordable. Our goal is to be cheaper for you to use us on a daily basis than for you to out and purchase a brand new car.

Our Business:
$10 Taxi Cab is a car service that provides transportation to any place within a 6 hour radius of Lake Charles.
We pick you up and drop you off anywhere in Lake Charles for only $10. If you are traveling outside of Lake Charles then its a flat $30 a hour.

We currently use a 2014 Mazda 6, which is unmarked and has no signs on the car. I plan on adding 2 move vehicles to the fleet within 3 months.

Why are We Raising Money:
I have been running full time since the middle of September. I had two major set backs. I purchased two 2014 Mazda 6s for the business. In early November one of the cars was totaled in an accident. That left us with one car.  Then at the end of November the city of Lake Charles decided to change the city ordnance in Lake Charles for taxis and car services. They are not currently issuing an occupational license until the city ordnance has been changed. No one can give us a definite date when this will happen. So without an occupational license we can not operate in the city we are based in.  I now have to register my company with the state of Louisiana. There is some additional cost to meet the state of Louisiana's qualifications. That's why I need your help.

How Much Money Do We Need:
At minimum to get the company registered with the state we will need the a total of $2,250, which breaks down as follows:
Down payment for $250,000/$500,000 auto insurance coverage: $2,000 
State of Louisiana registration fees: $250

I currently only run 12 hours a day 7 days a week because I only have one car and one driver. To be fully operational where I can hire three other drivers and three dispacthers, so that we can run 24 hours will cost an additonal $5,000, which breaks down as follows:
Car advertisement wrap: $2,000
Office furniture and office equipment: $3,000
