Update update update.
Due to the overwhelming response for sponsors we are able to lower our goal on go fund me. The goal is much more within reach in the next two weeks. Of course we would like to exceed it so we have more to give to the school nurses who see the most hardship. Thank you for your continued support. Thank you to the sponsors for making it more likely we can achieve our goal.
The need here in the North country is far greater than you can imagine. Our goal is to be sure that every child experiences the giving and sharing of Christmas. We are well aware that for some children this will be the only Christmas present they get. Many hands make light work. Every contribution makes a difference.
Santa, will deliver gifts to the children of the north country on December 17th by boat. Santa arrives at the Alexandria Bay village dock at noon but the event starts at 10 am and goes until dusk. We are reaching out to the schools and churches to be sure all kids who need are aware of this event and get presents. ALL Area children ages 12 and under are welcome. Bring the kids. A staff of volunteers are ready to shop and wrap. . Every penny donated will go towards gifts. Boat, Santa, wrapping paper etc has already been donated.
We hope to be able to give Christmas presents to 1500 children.
The event will be December 17th from 10 AM to 3 pm at the Village Dock in Alexandria Bay, All children from the river communities are welcome. There are volunteers ready to shop, wrap and be on the dock to serve and protect the kids while Santa is there. Every single contribution will make a difference to a child.
1000 Islands River Santa Festival is now an annual event. Thank you in advance. We have a videographer ready to capture this event again and provide you with the smiles that benefit from your donation.
There will be sleigh rides in the village,warming barrels, face painting and more. Hot chocolate and hot dogs, picnic tables and music in the streets. This is going to be a very memorable event for these children.
For the adults, many retail stores will be open for your last-minute shopping needs. Bring the kids to see Santa and get a gift, while you do a little shopping. Come and enjoy the festivities and the positive Christmas energy.
