Hope2Believe

I am putting together "Believer Packages" for the homeless.  My goal is to do more than just give someone money or food, it is to offer them hope. 


In each Believer Package, I put water and food, a first aid kit, sweets, hygiene stuff, socks, and a $5 McDonalds gift card so that someone can go in and get whatever they want, their choice. I also put a note of appreciation and a puzzle book, so they have something enjoyable to do. I want to make the Believer Package more than just a survival kit, I want to make it a sustainable memory for someone who needs hope, who needs to know that someone believes in them.

We keep these Believer Packages in our cars and when we find someone who needs help, someone who deserves hope, we give them one.  

Each "Believer Package" costs around $20 to put together.  Any amount you can contribute will help. . .$1, $5, $10. . .but if you donate $20 or more, I will put in a note especially from you.  We will send you an email after you donate so you can tell me exactly what you want me to write.

I will also put a list of items on the website in case you want to put together your own packages.  It will just be a list of suggestions, as you should put together something that makes it special to you.  Just following the list and buying things is like a friend just handing a gift to someone without a purpose.  Thinking about the package and the person that it is for is helping in a more positive way and it can help sustain this idea because there is more meaning behind it.
