Meet Will. He is 4 years old and life just isn't being fair to him right now. The doctors think it's a Wilm's tumor, nephroblastoma... better known as Kidney cancer. One of the top 5 most common types of cancer in children aged 2-4 years old and it's living in my nephew. He will be having a CT guided biopsy Monday(12/5) to find out for sure and we should get a prognosis and have a treatment plan by the end of the week. He has a very long road ahead of radiation and chemotherapy. After treatments they hope to remove the tumor through surgery.
This little boy is special. He has been the light in so many of our lives. Will is a new big brother and cousin. He is the spitting image of his daddy and wants to grow up to make pizzas like him. He is a fighter of bad guys, spiders and snakes for his momma and now is a fighter of a childhood cancer. Thankfully, many people are willing to fight for Will. We are #willswarriors.
At this time we want to do anything and everything we can to make this journey as stress free financially as we can for his mom and dad. They will be making the drive back and forth to Kansas City with an unknown amount of time away from their jobs, schooling, and home. This is where you come in. We have a goal of $10,000 to help mom and dad ease their minds and keep the focus on taking care of their son as medical bills and other financial obligations from Will's journey start to roll in. Most of all, we ask for prayers. Pray that our sweet boy stays strong in this painful and confusing time for him. Pray that Mom, Dad, and the rest of his family remain positive, uplifting and focused on his recovery. Just pray.
We will keep everyone updated through Will's journey to fight this. Thank you all for your continued love and support. #willswarriors

Here is a fb post from Will's dad, Skylar Wallace

My honest first reaction when I heard we had a gofundme page was anger. Anger that it has to exist. Anger that my son has to go through this. Anger that this happens to anyone. Then I saw that over 70 people have given us almost $5,400 in less than 24 hours, and anger quickly turned to awe. It made me realize how many people have rallied around my son. Some people that have never even met him.

If one positive thing can come from this, I hope that it shows us all a small glimpse of how good we can be. The past several months have shown us all a very dark side of humanity, but the compassion you all have shown my son proves to us that there is still good in this world. Things aren't as dark as they seem. Let my son's battle be your beacon of hope. When he wins, never forget what you did for him. Never forget that love trumps hate and compassion overcomes anger. Thank you all. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

And from his mom, Megan Wallace

I truly can't put into words how overwhelmed Skylar Wallace and I are with the outpouring of love we have received in these last 72 hours. The phone calls, texts, messages, the go fund me page, food, everything has shown us how loved our little boy is. Will Wallace is so lucky to have all of you! He is so lucky! We've done our best to have the best weekend with Will and his little brother Wilder. He's checked the cows on the mule, watched countless Christmas movies in his comfy clothes, threw pumpkins off the roof with his daddy, rode the Polar Express and met Santa, got a monkey on a tree balloon animal, and had a traditional Eastern Shawnee smoke ceremony where he was named a Shawnee warrior with a given name of Lakea Seeka. Will Wallace has been loved! I have no earthly idea what lies ahead for him, but I am confident that he has an army behind him and has love and God on his side. Please don't give up on him! Thank you all so much!!!

He is in my prayers! I know that God will take care of him. My cousin (who is now 40 and has a son of his own) battled the same disease 36 years ago and is doing great. Hang in there, Will's got this! ❤️ To you all!
