  1. On the morning of April 16, Marco C. was detained by ICE while on his way to work. Marco’s wife, Alma, was left alone to care for their four children, ages 15, 10, 4, and 2 years. Alma is also 6 months pregnant and is expected to deliver in August. She worried about Marco’s condition and location as the family was unable to contact him for several days. After the family was finally able to make contact, Alma learned that Marco was moved to a detention center in Louisiana. Marco and Alma have lived in the United States for more than twenty years and love exploring the neighborhood park with their four children, all of whom were born here. They were both looking forward to the arrival of their fifth child. Alma has spoken at length about the dangerous conditions in their home country of Guatemala, which influenced their decision to start a family in the US. She wants to stay in Baltimore to ensure her children can finish school, go to college, and pursue better opportunities. Your support will go a long way in helping to keep the C. family on their feet, as Marco was their sole income provider. Donations will go towards basic needs such as rent, utilities, and groceries for the family, so that Alma can focus on maintaining a healthy pregnancy and caring for her children.

  2. Abraham, a loving husband and father of four, who has lived in the US since he was 8 years old, has been in ICE detention since February 2025. Abraham is facing the horrific possibility that he will be deported to his birth country of Suriname, where he has no family or familiarity with the culture. Abraham’s detention has left his wife, Joanna, who is already working full-time, to carry the overwhelming burden of trying to keep the household afloat alone. The debt amassed due to the loss of Abraham’s income has become unmanageable. The family’s four children—ages 22, 15, 14, and 9 years—have been doing their best to stay strong through the separation, continuing to excel in school, sports, and other activities despite their father’s absence. Two children have health conditions that require ongoing care, adding significant medical expenses on top of everyday costs and mounting legal fees. This family has shown extraordinary resilience, but they cannot do this alone. Your support will help cover essential living expenses, medical bills, and the legal representation needed to reunite them. If you’re able, please consider contributing or sharing their story with others who may want to help. Every gesture of support makes a meaningful difference.

  3. Delia's world changed in an instant on February 3rd, 2026 when she was apprehended by ICE. Despite having an open asylum case and consistently attending required monthly check-ins, ICE detained her directly from her February check-in. Now Delia has been deported back to Honduras after enduring weeks of detention in Louisiana and rushed deportation proceedings with no clear pathway to reunite with her family. Delia had started a new job in Baltimore just two months ago, and was the primary breadwinner for her family. Now Delia's sister Norma is doing her best keep up with rent and bills while searching for work, and also caring for Delia's 13-year-old son. No child should ever have to face their parent being suddenly ripped away and wonder if or when they will see each other again, but that is the reality this young boy faces today. Please consider donating towards Delia's family's living expenses while they do their best to get by and navigate a very uncertain future. Every little bit helps!

  4. On March 23, G was at work when the company’s owner called ICE to detain him and his coworkers, a cruel tactic to avoid paying them. The father was sent to an out-of-state detention facility and is expected to be deported to Guatemala. B, the family’s mother, is six months pregnant and lost her job when she asked for a few days off to find and support her husband after his detention. She has been searching for work, but so far employers have turned her away, saying they don’t want to hire someone who is pregnant. B and her 11-year-old son are facing an urgent crisis after losing both sources of the family’s income. She is doing everything she can to keep their lives stable, but without work, even basic necessities have become difficult to afford. Your support can help them cover essentials like food, rent, and prenatal care, giving both mother and child a chance to regain their footing after their family was torn apart.

  7. On the early morning of February 13, the Gonzalez family’s father, their exclusive income provider, was detained by ICE on his way to work. The father was then deported to Mexico. The Gonzalez family’s mother is doing her best to support their two daughters, aged 4 and 16, as they navigate this distressing time. This loving family has cultivated a life here in Baltimore City. The eldest daughter is a talented and accomplished student whose academic career and future is now uncertain. The youngest daughter is a sweet and creative girl, having trouble grasping this heartbreaking situation. The mother is a nurturing woman who prioritizes her children over herself. The father is a hardworking man who has been stripped away from his wife and daughters. Since their father’s detention, the family has fallen behind on rent and utility bills and is concerned about their electricity getting shut off due to their limited funds. The mother is unable to find work as she has to stay home to take care of their 4 year old daughter while the eldest is at school, and she is fearful of being separated from her daughters. Your support will go a long way in keeping this family on their feet as they assess their next steps.

  8. José and his four children’s life changed horrifically when their wife and mother, Emma, was detained by ICE in February 2026, when appearing for her USCIS check-in. This family followed all the right steps, only to be permanently separated without any warning. Emma is now being held in detention and experiencing a return of intense depressive symptoms. Emma just found out she will be deported back to their home country of Honduras, away from her loving husband and young children. The family is devastated with their loss and miss Emma terribly. They face financial challenges with José being the sole financial support now and caregiver of their 4 children, ages 5, 11, 14, and 16. And the crisis goes beyond basic needs. On top of current stressors, José will be facing a hearing before a judge and will need legal representation to not abandon the children without any parents at all. Although he has tried himself, the legal fees charged by private immigration attorneys have been prohibitive. Donations will be used for basic needs and legal fees. Your support will help lighten the load on José’s burdens. Please help José and his family get through this most difficult time in their lives.
