<div>Hi, I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of sister Karen. A few weeks ago they discovered swelling around her 9 year old dog Kobi's neck. They were seen by the vet the same day and given antibiotics, following this his breathing got quite laboured and he was blowing out his lips folds to exhale his air .. very hard to watch, it all happened so fast. Unfortunately things didn't improve so she opted for more invasive investigations and the local vets informed her they suspected Lymphoma but would need further testing at a Veterinary Hospital for confirmation. They were seen a few days later as an urgent referral where it was confirmed her wee buddy Kobi has Lymphoma and without treatment she would lose him in just a few weeks. Chemotherapy treatment will prolong his life giving anything from 9 months, some dogs that have same Lymphoma Cell type as Kobi have lived on 18 months or more so we have to stay positive that we are going to have him around a lot longer.

<div>Kobi started his first round of chemotherapy that same day and is currently on his 4th cycle which has showed positive results already within first week the swelling disappeared and breathing returned to normal you would never know he is terminal, he walks every day in forestry with my other two dogs, high on life... He is a remarkable dog and having him here with us is everything to us all.

<div>Kobi is insured but due to the urgent appointment, biopsies, scans chemotherapy, constant blood work being carried at the Small Animal Hospital in Glasgow we have already used £3000 of his insurance and only have a small amount left and still 20 weeks of chemotherapy ahead of us.
</div>

<div>Kobi had a rough start in life with being quite a sickly puppy. He then went through 2 cruciate ligament operations but he is the sweetest, happiest dog you will ever meet and deserves every chance to enjoy life with his family for a while longer.
</div>

<div>At this stage everything Karen chooses to do will be to make Kobi the most comfortable and happiest dog during his remaining time with her and his two brothers Duke and Jaxon, and hopefully prolong the time they have left. Karen's first priority will always be his comfort and his quality of life - the amounts of money involved in his care are high and unexpected and if anyone is able to contribute towards the costs of his treatment I know she would be so grateful.

<div>Ongoing chemotherapy weekly at cost of approximately £320 a week (2 x treatments of Vincristine, 1 x Cyclophosphamide and 1 x Lomustrine) plus continuous blood work to make sure his organs are coping with treatment.

<div>My name is Tuesday Foster, I am writing this on behalf of Murray Chapman who I work with. He was sadly diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia and Motor Neurone Disease on 24th May 2024, the day he and his family’s life changed.

<div>Murray lives at home with his wonderful caring wife Kathryn and their two charming sons Jake and Fraser. Unfortunately, their small family home is not accessible for the equipment that will be required for Murray in the coming weeks and months. We would appreciate any help towards making necessary costly changes – anything you donate is greatly received!

<div>Since the diagnosis Murray has maintained a positive outlook with the support of his Family and Friends. However, Funds are required to aid his battle as working in his business will soon no longer be an option.

<div>We have decided to set up this GoFundMe page for people to donate to help Murray sustain quality of life, eventual aids that will be needed for the home and transport etc. It will help the family enjoy the time they have together without the worry of day-to-day financial issues.

<div>Murray has dedicated most of his life to helping others and 15 years ago became the founder of ‘A Passion to inspire’ A non-profit making, voluntary initiative developed to bring education and industry closer together supporting students with a passion for their chosen career. During this time Murray has also raised large amounts for different charities such as Teenage Cancer Trust and NSPCC. He is truly a phenomenal man who has continually put everyone before himself.

<div>I don't think we can ever put into words, the feelings, the despair, the fear upon hearing the news on 24th May. Since then and over the last couple of weeks, the enormity of what this means for Murray and his family and the challenges all will face as this cruel disease takes hold is starting to become a reality. A reality they cannot hide or escape from but one they must meet head on by being brave together as a family and by allowing their family, friends and wider community to help in whatever way they can. Our hope for a cure one day will keep everyone going but for now, looking after Murray's mental health and wellbeing is paramount.
