Tragedy Among the Holidays

Donation protected
December 19, 2015, was like any other Saturday in Jersey City, NJ. Byung Eun Lee went to work at his small retail clothing store of 15 years, Top Plus, expecting to return home at the end of the day to his family. He did not return due to an unexpected armed robbery that occured around 430 pm. His life was taken and with the suspect still at large the investigation is still ongoing.

We're a group of friends, almost strangers to this family yet from the same small community of Palisades Park.
We heard about this tradegy through a close friend whose business is located across the street from Top Plus and our hearts quickly became heavy. We learned that Mr. Lee has been having a hard time trying to keep
Top Plus from running out of business. Mr. Lee was a sincere and hardworker like any other father and husband that lived to provide for his family. He was loved by the neighbors of his shop who often helped him open and close the steel gate because his age and condition prevented him to use much strength. Mr. Lee leaves behind his wife and only daughter.

With the holidays around the corner we can't imagine the grief and sadness the family must be facing, having to enter the New Year without a father and beloved husband. This tragic and unforeseen event shows that it could have been anyones husband or father. Our goal is to bring alittle bit of financial relief and empathy towards the Lee family. We truly believe that with your help we can reach our goal of providing the Lee family with financial help towards the funeral and legal assistance. Thank you for taking the time to read this and your donations are much appreciated as well as your prayers so again, thank you and God Bless.

A memorial service is being held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday December 22nd. at the Keeho Kim Funeral Home at 1601 Palisade Ave. in Fort Lee NJ.

May you Rest In Peace Mr. Byung Eun Lee.

Here a few news outlets covering the story. We hope that justice prevails and whoever is responsible for this senseless act is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
