This is a simple family, with a simple but full life and a simple thing that unites them. The love they have for eachother.

Mike and Jamie met and married soon after highschool. Even from that young age they were eachothers strength.

They have lived in their home and community for more than a decade. They are the type of humble hard working people you can count on in the middle of the night if you were in need.

Zoe,
7 years old, is their youngest, and the light of their lives.
Beautiful, full of sass and personality. She is taking acting classes and loves to shine on the stage. She loves Hatchimals and her friends.

On December 30th The Betkers received the devastating news that their Sweet Zoe Jane has an inoperable Brain Tumor called DIPG.
Its the kind of news that stops your world and brings you to your knees. The kind you only think of in nightmares.

Many challenges lay ahead, from doctors bills, change in work status to physical therapy and treatments.

Each person reading this is too small to lift this burden from them, yet together we can create a wall of strength. The simple cost of a Mcdonals meal: 1-5 $ annoynomusly given multiplied throughout the community can do so much. Every dollar helps no matter how small.

No parent should face the road they are on.
If nothing else after reading this think of the person you love most tonight and tell them an extra time how much they mean to you.

Lets lift up the Betkers one donation at a time and show them what community means. All proceeds will go directly to the Betker family and the care of Zoe.

ZoeJane turned 9 this week!!
It’s a miracle. To be 13 months past a DIPG diagnosis and celebrating another birthday.

She and her family are cherishing every day and moment together.

She has a upcoming MRI Friday February 1rst to determine the stability of her tumor.

Words can not express what it feels like to be a parent on MRI day. To be unsure if that day you will be told to start preparing for the worst.

Less than 1% of children ever make it to year 2 with this tumor.

She continues in her clinical Trial in NY traveling back and forth every 3 weeks.
The new year means resetting all their deductibles and expenses, and another year of uncertainty ahead.

Jamie continues to stay at home to be by Zoe’s side and care for her needs as well as the daunting job of managing the insurance companies, forms, paperwork and travel.

Every dollar we continue to raise funds Zoe’s ability to fight for the cure.
To continue taking this trial medication and To fight for a chance to celebrate being 10!

Because of each of you and all of the continued love and support we have received we can move forward each day, with gratitude and in faith we praise God for the gift of another year and continue to pray that their can be a first child to defeat DIPG.

Thank you to all our supporters for your continued love and prayers.

Zoe is now almost 8mo past diagnosis.
She is in a Clinical Trial in NYC and must travel from SLC to NY every 3 weeks.

The cost to care for Zoes medical needs and travel is a high expense to the family, however through continued genorous contribution this treatment has been made possible.
If all goes well she will stay in this trial upwards of 2 years.

Yesterday we received the miraculous news that her tumor remains stable which in the DIPG world means it’s dormant and not actively growing. At almost 9 months it defies the odds and is an amazing blessing!

We are beyond grateful that Zoe continues to have a wonderful quality of life and gets to just be an 8 year old girl.

Your donations have made that a reality and we are humbled by the continued love and care the community has shown for ZoeJane.

They say it takes a village to raise a child.. we seems to have an army!

We are aware of a potentially life saving treatment for ZoeJane.

We are still working towards a final treatment path.

However it has become clear that every cent we raise must be put into the fight for her life.

We are ready to fight.
Every hard earned dollar from each of you means so much to us.
We are full of gratitude.
Zoe loving her “fake” glasses. A girl has to have style.
