According to recent studies, more than 40% of students report episodes of depression, suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among young people age 10-24 and roughly 40% of young women dating report experiencing abuse of some kind in a romantic relationship. These statistics are staggering to say the least.

What's worse is these are the numbers according to those who were sampled and responded honestly. Many cases of depression and abusive relationships go unreported. Something has to be done. OUR young people need our help. They need to learn how to deal with and handle the struggles of life. They need the confidence to seek help when life proves to be too much and they need to know where they can turn.

So many students suffer silently not wanting to bring attention to themselves. Even when students try to reach out to those around them, usually their peers, are  also ill-equipped to provide the support and encouragement needed in those cases. They also don't know where to turn.

StruggleXchange
is a nonprofit organization serving high school and college students. Our mission is to end suicide, depression and toxic relationships by training and empowering young people to be a catalyst for change.

StruggleXchange provides a leadership training program for students, which prepares them to lead discussions, host events and raise awareness around the issues they struggle with everyday and strategies to overcome those struggles. We believe by focusing on mental health, self-confidence, body confidence, healthy relationships, self awareness and stress management they can have a positive impact on the statistics of suicide, depression and toxic relationships among young people.

Wanting to not only equip students with strategies to handle the struggles of life, but having an heart to support them as well, StruggleXchange provides the following opportunities for students active in the community.

Scholarship Opportunities
Internship opportunities
Volunteer opportunities
Care packages for students living on campus
Group Therapy and Individual therapy (with a licensed therapist/counselor)

This program is available at no cost to students or their families. This is why we need your help. Our goal is to implement this program in as many schools as funding will provide. Their fundraising goal for the 2018-2019 year is$300,000. This will allow us to implement the program in 5 high schools and 2 colleges.  Again we are asking you, our community to join us in this noble work.
