The Sokolov Family were involved in a horrible natural disaster on the night of Tuesday January 10th. After a week's worth of epic weather, a season of winter packed into 1 week, a tree fell on their home in the middle of the night, pinning Jamie who was shielding her daughter, Alyssa, from the falling tree. They had to call 9-1-1 to help free her.
Jamie who has dedicated 9 years to Barton Hospital Emergency Room, just began a new career path with Barton's new Oncology Department. She has limited earned time off left. Her husband, Paul works full time as a hard wood floor installer. This family is long time locals, who work hard for our community.
They contacted a company for tree removal and they were quoted $12,000. That will just be the beginning of this long journey for them.
