Archer's Fight

Archer Theodore came into the world at 28 weeks 1 day, weighing 2lbs 4oz and 15 inches long. Archer was born with Long Gap Esophageal Atresia (EA) type A, where his esophagus does not connect to his stomach, but just stops to a little pouch, Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) a heart condition where he has a large hole from the left to the right side of his heart, as well as a constricted valve, newly diagnosed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and diagnosed Vacterl. Two of these conditions will require major surgery. Unfortunately, neither condition was caught on our anatomy scans, so not only was his prematurity a surprise, but his medical problems as well.

Archer is being transferred to Cincinnati Children's Hospital as his current team can no longer help him. This will be a huge cost for our family while being there as we will need to stay for months. We want Archer to have the best possible chance at a normal, healthy childhood and are trying to weigh all options for him and our family.
