Karen Ann was the victim in a head on car accident on 4/6 ~3 miles away from home with Ronnie (family pet). Ronnie did not survive and Karen sustained life threatening injuries. She is currently in critical but stable condition with multiple broken bones and massive internal injuries. Karen has undergone numerous surgeries and will have many more in the future.
The doctors have stated that her recovery process will be a very long and challenging road. Karen will be in the hospital for several more weeks and potentially months. Karen's medical and rehabilitation expenses will be incurred over an extended period of time (weeks, months, years?). We anticipate that Karen will need personal assistance in the future, but is undetermined as of now.
