Kali McFarland's Emergency Fund

On 1-22-17 Kali McFarland and her boyfriend Austin Beard planned to start a new chapter in their lives, but it was destroyed by a thief. Kali (20) and Austin (24) are both hard working young adults who have been taking care of themselves for years, rarely asking for assistance or help. They found jobs in Oregon so they decided to sell most of their furniture and pack the rest of their belongings in Kali’s 1999 tan Toyota Corolla. They gave notice at the local restaurant where they worked and sublet their apartment. They were excited for this big change. On their way out of town, they stopped to say goodbye to Kali’s sister. After about a 30-minute visit, they returned to the car only to find it STOLEN! They have lost everything- clothes, money, legal documents, and personal memories. Kali has been journaling for years and all of her journals were in that car.
Now they are desperate for help. They cannot get to Oregon without a car and they no longer have jobs or a place to live in Austin. They actually trained their replacements at their previous employment because they wanted to be helpful to their employer. They need help with basic living supplies, and a reliable used car. Honestly they need about $5,000 to be able to purchase a car and get on the road. This is the only way they can make it Oregon where their future jobs are still available. They need funds to make this happen and if anyone knows of a car dealer willing to help a young couple that would be awesome!
The sooner they can make this happen, the sooner they can stop sleeping on her sister's couch. They also need to get to Oregon before their jobs are passed on to someone else.
